Music Therapy Programs
Music therapy is a powerful tool for working on social skills, impulse control, emotional regulation and teamwork.
Relate
The Relate Groups use music therapy to focus on all music therapy domains: social, communication, cognitive, sensory, and motor skills. Through musical interventions crafted and designed by a music therapist, the group members are able to work on decision making, group instrument playing and sharing, engaging in social interactions through verbal and non-verbal communications, and other group interactions like movement to music. Relate is meant to create a space for all people who have intellectual and developmental differences to come together and enjoy music as a whole. Through the unifying power of music, they are also able to meet goals that transfer to their daily living.
