Vision Services

Over 200,000 Tennesseans are legally blind, with the number growing as people age. The STAR Center offers a broad variety of services for people with visual impairments, including:

• Safe and effective travel (Orientation and Mobility).

• Optometry sessions for low vision and legal blindness through Southern College of Optometry.

• Magnifiers and talking devices for reading.

• Screen readers for computer and smartphone access.

 

Applying for our Vision Services typically begins with an eye doctor’s referral to our agency. If you or a loved one are in need of our services, let us know and we will help.
